Northern Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. (NHI) is a large-scale equipment R&D and manufacturing enterprise under Liaoning Fangda Group Industrial Co., Ltd. (Fangda Group). With a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1921, NHI was the only heavy machinery plant in the country with a century-long history. 

On August 28, 2007, NHI achieved transnational operation by acquiring an absolute controlling stake in France's NFM Company. On June 28, 2016, it further acquired the equity of Robbins, a renowned American manufacturer of full-face tunnel boring machines.

Located in Shenyang, known as the "Oriental Ruhr," NHI covers an area of 1.41 million square meters and has over 3,000 employees. Its main products serve multiple industrial sectors, widely applied in mining, metallurgy, bulk material handling, tunnel engineering, electric power, building materials, and other industries. Meanwhile, NHI has been expanding into markets of automotive components, oil fracturing, scientific research equipment, aircraft maintenance, etc., which have become new economic growth points for the enterprise. It also possesses EPC general contracting capabilities, providing project general contracting services to users.

NHI owns complete design, testing, inspection, and metrology facilities, with over 140 patents and proprietary technologies. More than 200 new products have filled national gaps, and over 100 products and technologies have won national and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards. We have over 3000 pieces (sets) of different kind equipment, 15 modern production plants, and a maximum lifting capacity of 500 tons. As a national technological innovation demonstration enterprise, it is equipped with a state-certified enterprise technology center, a national key laboratory for intelligent mining and equipment in deep metal mines, and a national post-doctoral research workstation.

We have the quality management system (GB/T 19001-2016/ISO 9001:2015), environmental management system (GB/T 24001-2016 idt ISO 14001:2015), occupational health and safety management system (GB/T 45001-2020), measurement management system (GB/T 19022-2003/ISO 10012:2003), and physical and chemical testing laboratory evaluation certificate.
